Zimbabwean activists have called for solidarity to female activist Linda Masarira’s court similar to the one demonstrated towards Evan Mawarire last week.

Hundreds of Zimbabweans gathered at the Harare magistrate court last week in solidarity with this flag Pastor Evan Mawarire who was being charged with inciting public violence.

Masarira will appear before Mbare magistrate on Friday court facing charges of public violence at Budiriro where she was allegedly caught by police destroying vendor’s stalls.

Tajamuka leader Promise Mkhwananzi appealed to Zimbabweans to attend the court in solidarity with the occupy Africa unity square activist

“”Linda Masarira will be appearing at Mbare courts on Friday 22nd July at 8:30am. She was beaten and arrested in Mufakose during the first shutdown and has been denied bail, so she has been remanded in custody ever since,” said Mkhwananzi.

“We appeal to our fellow Zimbabweans to please come in support on the day, in a peaceful and disciplined manner.. Let us flood Mbare courts and remind them that an injury to one is an injury to all ‪#‎Tajamuka,” he said.

Another activist Pride Mkono said Zimbabweans from all walks of life are invited at the court.

“ We kindly invite all Zimbabweans to attend the court session and show solidarity with cde Linda. The same way Zimbabweans did for Pastor Mawarire can still be replicated for Linda, together in solidarity we shall overcome,” said Mkono.‬
