The dirty slimy areas, where kids play in raw flowing sewage, and the tar on the roads is entirely finished.

Mbare is one of Zimbabwe’s oldest suburbs. It is also Robert Mugabe’s stronghold.

Our photo-journalist braved the hostility, and risked his life to provide us an inside look, into the world that Zanu PF does not want you to know.

These are the pictures, the government does not want the citizens to see!

In fact, the government introduces laws like AIPPA, and POSA to prevent normal citizens filming in these areas, and making access to them and publishing them a serious criminal offence.
