Mnangagwa Not Senior To Me: Grace Mugabe

First Lady Grace Mugabe has declared that the Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa is not in any way ‘senior’ to her but only ‘more experienced’ than her in the ruling party Zanu PF.

Speaking on Friday afternoon during her meet the people rallies in Masvingo, Grace Mugabe whose rallies last year led to the sucking of former Vice President Joice Mujuru has further made it clear that she rules the roast in the ruling party.

“…Emmerson Mnangagwa is not senior to me. He just has more experience in politics than me” she said pointing out that they was nothing wrong with her doing her duties since she is the First Lady.

Grace further revealed that the succession issue will be very problematic and indicated that Mugabe will rule from a ‘wheelbarrow”.

“Mugabe isimbi yebasa. Nyaya yaMugabe ichanetsa. Tine basa naye Mugabe, Tichamusumudza mudhaara wedu, mubhara” (Mugabe is a strong man ready to work, the issue of Mugabe (succession) will be very problematic, we will carry him in a wheelbarrow).

Grace also reiterated that after Mugabe Zimbabwe will change since no one would maintain the ‘peace’ that Mugabe has created.

“The day Mugabe goes things will change. He may wantto rest but he is still there” said the First Lady.

She also revealed that she did not even care whether journalists write bad things about her because it is her ‘right’ to lead in the ruling party.

“It is my right to sit upfront in the politburo because I am the First Lady. As the First Lady of the country how can I fight the President, I won’t compete with him and I am satisfied with what I am” she said.

Mugabe who is known for insulting journalists, sounded sarcastic as she advised journalists to look for farms.

“Go and apply for farms. One day you may end up with no job. Find somewhere you can have to show for your children” she said.
