The alleged rift between Suluman Chimbetu and Jah Prayzah was one of the major highlights at the Simon Chimbetu Commemoration Gig that was held at the Extra MIle over the two weekend when the two artistes addressed the issue.
So concerned were fans that they paid total attention when the two artists spoke about the issue on stage.
Both men rubbished the claims and Jah Prayzah went on to describe people behind the rumours as drunkards with agendas!
“Jah I heard that we are no longer on talking terms. Is it true?” Sulu asked in front of the fans
“I was surprised when I heard that we are now enemies, vanhu vanenge vazvimbirwa nemasese vanotaura izvozvo,” said Jah Prayzah responded to Sulu.
Jah Prayzah was not part of the gig line up but he came with his band members after performing at Mushandirapamwe Hoel, in a move to show solidarity and to pay respect to the late Simon Chimbetu.
The Ochestra Dendera Kings Boss then introduced Jah Prayzah’s song Zenze which is rumoured to be directed at Sulu.
The two performed the song together putting emphasis on the lyrics, “Simudza chako timisidzane tione kuti gamba ndiyani…zenze raunomisa ndicharikwachura kana kuri dambura.”
