Bitter Zimdancehall rivals, Soul Jah Love and Seh Calaz are set to bury the hatchet.
The two artistes will be sharing the stage in South Africa along with Jamaican Reggae Star Charly Black at a gig slated for July 31 at City Hall in Cape Town before embarking on a number of shows without the Jamaican.
The two top chanters join the Bodyslam family and Dj Smylie and the Judgement Yard family for the shows dubbed the reunion tour.
Bodyslam boss, Simba Chakare revealed the gig plans in an interview. “This is a reunion tour for the two and after the show with Charly Black, the two will extend their stay in South Africa for shows in Durban and Jo’burg. We are still finalising all the logistics for the planned tour,” he said
Soul Jah Love and Seh Calaz are regarded as sworn rivals in the local dancehall arena with many likening their rivalry to that of Jamaican giants Mavado and Vybz Kartel.
Both Calaz and Jah Love have a number of songs in which they tear into the other. “This is business and at times the artists diss each other but there has to be peace among them,” said Chakare
The rivalry of the two escalated at the first edition of the sting contest last year at the City Sports centre where the two clashed.
This saw the two artistes trading fierce diss lyrics some of which were very personal. Soul Jah Love confirmed the tour in a video posted online.
