Gospel musician , Olivia Charamba lost cash and two mobile phones to roadside thieves, who smashed her front seat passenger window at the intersection of Willovale Road and Simon Mazorodze Road on Friday at night.
Mai Charamba was accompanied by her child and Fishers of Men backing vocalists on her way to PHD Ladies All Night prayer meeting in Waterfalls. “I stopped by the robots near Rothmans along Simon Mazorodze Road when suddenly one of my vehicle’s windows was smashed by a stone and my bag and two cellphones were snatched from the passenger seat,” said Mai Charamba.
She went to the police but on her way back the ruffians were back at the same position, armed with stones and ready to pounce yet again.
“I lodged a report with the police and on my way back from the station, I spotted the same guys holding stones as they wanted to stone the vehicle for the second time and I sped off.
“It is only that I did not have much money but I am urging motorists to be careful when approaching that place,” she said.
Despite the incident, Mai Charamba went on to put up a scintillating performance that left her fans begging for more.
